Stayed: California’s Central Coast

as i mentioned earlier, the frenches have been traveling. we are home again. however, my heart is still back on california’s central coast: carmel, big sur, point lobos, and the rest. just when i thought i couldn’t be surprised by the beauty this country has to offer…then i find myself surrounded by all of this.

those of you following along on my instagram are aware of my newfound love affair…those who do not, please do…

oh and if you are looking for a clean, cosy place to stay in carmel do check out the fireplace inn…such a nice spot.

i said it was coming…as part of my “i would stay there” feature i have decided to showcase accommodations i have actually had the pleasure of residing in for a bit.

the first in this “stayed” series is the james chicago. such a wonderful spot to begin. truly, you could not choose a more ideal location; i had the pleasure of traveling with girlfriends and we were able to walk to it all…restaurants, shopping, museums, parks, etc. it should also be noted that i am not a pushover when it comes to lodging. i require clean, centrally located spaces that are incredibly comfortable and livable all at once. if you take a peek at my photos, the last one features a 10:00 wakeup time…it’s for real, the beds are on point.

in chicago, the james is it.

the only issue being that it all went to darn fast…must make plans to go again.

I Would Stay There…The Alex Hotel.

i have yet to have the pleasure of visiting australia. it’s on my list. actually, it is on the tippy-top of my list…if i make it there, i would love to reside in perth. once in perth i am hoping to stay at the alex hotel. initially that perfect green obviously caught my attention…the common spaces and rooms have me wishing i could linger for awhile…
