I admit, I am not one typical pastels for littles. I like when babies and kids wear a whole range of colors, white, greys, bright corals & even black. Here are some gorgeous finds in black.

I struggle often with how to dress my daughter Juliette, do I allow her to indulge in her “the frillier the better” attitude or do I tame this with cool greys, navy blues & pale yellows (my dream palette for her). The answer lies somewhere in between. I want her to know her opinion matters. 

I often catch myself when I’m about to say “Juliette, but that doesn’t go” when faced with her choice of the day. I don’t want to stifle her creativity or teach her that patterns & prints don’t mix well together, because I really do feel they can pair together perfectly. How she presents herself is important, and it’s a reflection on how we feel about raising a little girl in today’s world in some ways. I want her to feel confident and strong in what she wears, but most of all happy.
